IF YOU BUY ONE THING THIS WEEKEND…MAKE IT THIS BARDOT TOP BY TOPSHOP

If there’s one thing I love about the fifties (apart from the Hollywood starlets, classic films and Jane Russell’s voice) it’s the fashion. Full skirts, Dior and ladylike style exploded post-war and was the epitome of romanticism. One of the key looks Marilyn Monroe was known for was her love of an off-the-shoulder garment. There’s something about a hint of shoulder and flash of flesh in a subtle way that’s so sexy and understated. I love this Bardot Top from Topshop (also a style heroine of mine!) It’s not a crop top or bralet, it’s sophisticated, classic and covers your tummy button!
