When I was at uni, all those years ago, I was absolutely obsessed with Vogue. Ok, I was studying a fashion degree, but there was something about that glossy paper, beautiful people and mountains of luxe ads that made me determined to reach the dizzy heights of Conde Nast. I collected every issue month on month, and that monochrome spine became a feature in my very first house.

So, I might not be working for Vogue and life took a slightly different path, but the fashion bible still holds hope for many aspiring fashionista’s alike. So when it comes to celebrating the publications 100th birthday – it was always going to be a momentous affair. In February 2016, Vogue will showcase 280 images in The National Portrait Gallery from the Condé Nast archives, including iconic images from the likes of Irving Penn, David Bailey, Mario Testino, Tim Walker, Cecil Beaton and more.

Vogue 100: A Century of Style will open February 11 to May 22 at the National Portrait Gallery in London
