The first weekend back from holiday is usually spent doing laundry, cleaning the house and catching up with friends…not trekking down to the beach to collect sand! As much as I love the ocean and after 10days by it, had definitely not had enough but this beach was a little less blue and crystal clear and a bit more…British.

With a beauty photoshoot looming I didn’t want play sand or builder sand-it had to be proper beach sand. Although the weather was grey and not half as warm as Croatia or Italy, it was still beautiful down at Walberswick in Suffolk. The sleepy village, steep sand dunes and locals crabbing was the perfect Sunday afternoon. And there’s nothing more traditional than stopping off at the nearest pub for some fresh seafood. The Bell Inn is a stones throw from the main beach and has that charming shabby chic feel. Contemporary, cosy and delicious.
