As Instagram progressively grows as the social media outlet of choice, brands are struggling to cash-in on their followers as they’re still not able to build shop-able links into their page. So, instead of waiting for a solution, Marc Jacobs has created his own.

The American designer invites users to register their details here and any Instagram posts followers of @marcjacobsbeauty liked that used the hashtag #shopmjb, will receive an email with purchasing details. The luxury retailer has become the first brand to take the frustrating matter into their own hands and create technology that capitalises on the social media platform.
