BRITISH RED CROSS LAUNCHES DESIGNER POP-UP SHOP FOR ANNIVERSARY

Stella McCartney SS15

It’s hard to imagine but the first fashion pop-up shop was in 1914 by the British Red Cross to raise money for the First World War. Fast-forward 100 years, the charity institution is celebrating its anniversary with, you guessed it, a pop-up shop in London’s Covent Garden, with some very special donations.

Featuring pieces by Erdem, Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Philip Treacy and many more, ‘The Gift House’ will act as a designer boutique erected in one of the capital’s busiest tourist areas to raise funds for the British Red Cross.

The Gift House pop-up opens 7th November for 10 days.
