HERO PRODUCT: CELL REVITALISE ROSE MASK BY AURELIA

After basking in the Spanish and Italian sunshine, I’ve been so preoccupied with prolonging my tan that I’ve completely neglected the health of my skin. So when I heard about a probiotic skincare brand that protects against skin ageing, regenerates cell metabolism, prevents cellular DNA damage, boosts hyaluronic acid tenfold and increases collagen synthesis by 140% I was interested.

Born and raised in Britain, Aurelia skincare products are free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, sulphates, propylene glycol, and phthalates. Perfect, just what my stressed out complexion needs. Sure, it’s clinging on to the last remnants of a golden glow but my skin needs a serious moisture boost. Which is exactly what it got after using Aurelia’s Cell Revitalise Rose Mask.

It may smell a little like your grandmother’s bathroom cabinet (why is it always rose?!) but it’s a rich creamy texture that goes onto the skin like a moisturiser. But resist the urge to massage in like you would your night cream. It doesn’t dry like clay or slip like gel, it stays exactly as it is and penetrates the skin so deep that you feel a slightly calming and cooling effect during those ten minutes.

Using a clean, warm muslin soaked in water, the mask comes off clean without residue or stains. To be completely honest, I was really surprised at the results. I thought that a mask needed to dry and crack to see really beneficial results but Aurelia’s Rose Mask left my skin glowing to the point that my boyfriend asked if I was wearing makeup! It’s back to it’s best.
