Thanks to the Olympics, Stella McCartney for Adidas and Calgary Avansino’s achingly chic healthy lifestyle, we’re all embracing a healthier and fitter way of living. And it wasn’t long before the fashion followed. Long gone are the days of holey joggers and your boyfriends t-shirt at the gym as we’re inundated with cool and urban sportswear brands making the treadmill or runway.
So, as a self-confessed gym bunny and all-round fitness fanatic, you can imagine my excitement when Richard Nicoll revealed his Sweaty Betty collaboration at LFW. Partnering with founder Tamara Hill-Norton, the 10-piece collection was effortlessly cool and included sports bras, polka dot shorts and zip-up dresses in technical fabrics and Japanese-inspired prints. Open-weave knitwear draped over the models shoulders in muted shades of lilac, white and grey while holographic, sleeveless hoodies made us desperate for new gymwear.
Bravo Mr Nicoll, bravo!
