It’s Chanel, it’s going to be good, right? Right. It doesn’t give instant colour like a lot of competitors but it’s a great buildable tan
Lancôme’s Flash Bronzer is a consistent winner in the best fake tan competition. It smells nice, is easy to apply, it hydrates skin and develops a perfectly natural tan in one hour. No wonder it’s a favourite.
With a subtle colour and instant shimmer, Origins self tan is a great product for those a little unsure about fake tan. It’s fool-proof, streak-free and lasts for up to five days.
So it’s a little more expensive than the average self tanner but this face tanner packs all the punch you’d expect from the face cream with just a hint of tan. Perfect for those with paler complexions who want a bit of a glow and nothing more.
It does exactly what it says on the bottle. Xen Tan’s Deep Bronze Luxe is not for the faint hearted or the pale-skinned! It gives a gorgeous natural, deep Brazilian tan but it’s high maintenance to apply so make sure your patience and rubber gloves are at the ready!
Admittedly this is a bit of a personal favourite of mine. It’s super targeted ingredients includes aloe vera, cucumber, hyaluronic acid and red algae to provide effective skincare as well as colour whilst you sleep. Skin looks plump, fresh and dewy with a subtle tan in the morning without the stained pores and gathered colour on the hairline.
It’s gold and glossy so of course it’s Michael Kors but does it measure up in the beauty stakes? It smells beautiful with hints of jasmine and orange and glides onto the skin with ease. Don’t be fooled by applying more if you don’t notice an instant change; it deceptively takes a lot longer to develop than it says. But be patient-the wait pays off.
Although it has a scary-orange colour lotion, it glides onto the skin giving a subtle instant tan and a lovely orange scent. Apply every other day to gently build colour and start exfoliating after day 4 to fade equally.
It’s still top of it’s game with more products than ever before. I prefer the mousse as it is quick and easy to apply but sinks into the skin quickly so make sure you apply with a cotton mitt. It’s a little less forgiving so make sure you have plenty of time to devote on application.
It may be small but wow, is it mighty. One of the first of it’s kind; this Clarins serum is a firm favourite of mine. With a button and dropper, simply mix a little in with your moisturiser and it gives THE best colour for your face. Soft, dewy, covering imperfections and the most beautiful golden hue.
This new product from Soap & Glory is perfect for when you forget to tan and a last minute party pops up. It has a buttery consistency that moisturises legs whilst giving it a natural and thick colour instantly.
If you’re not quite ready to let go of the summer yet, this self tan from Sisley will ensure your golden skin carries on into Autumn. It’s thick and creamy consistency soaks into the skin perfectly giving it moisture and nourishment. It takes around two hours to develop and can be applied daily in small doses to keep it topped up.
