Last weekend was definitely a weekend of firsts; I had my first Pigeon burger (amazing!), my first folk festival and the first time I’ve left a festival early (due to a stinking cold). Although glamping is much more my style. I’m not afraid to get down and dirty from time to time (easy now!) and slum it with the bare necessities.
Thankfully this was far tamer than your average festival, luxurious even, with delicious gourmet food, spacious camping grounds and silence before 2am! The annual Folk East festival at Glemham Hall in Suffolk is the type of weekend where you can totally get away with eating your way around the local produce, drinking cider at 10am and chill out on the hay bales whilst listening to emerging folk talent (watch out Mumford & Sons!).
